WSABC AGM 2021 Salmon Arm October 28-29
We’re preparing for an in-person and virtual AGM this year. Come direct to the Prestige Harbourfront Resort to connect with your peers this October 28 and 29.
The Directors of the WSABC invite you to the 99th WSABC AGM, Trade Show and Convention of our association at the Prestige Hotel in Salmon Arm on October 28th and 29th, 2021. These have been challenging times and the opportunities to meet face-to-face have been limited. You can attend in person or via video-conference ZOOM to hear the latest updates for our industry.
WSABC 2021 AGM and Conference Program
October 28, 2021 – Thursday’s program
Operator Training 7:30am-3:00pm
We have one Operators’ training session with EOCP credits.
- Sodium Hypochlorite Handling and Safety & Confined Space Procedures (in-person only)
AGM and Election
Our AGM will also take place on October 28 at 2:00 pm. Election of Directors is held at the AGM.
Of the 11 Directors positions, there are four positions up for renewal for a 3-year term. Three incumbent directors Rob Hillis (West Kelowna), Zee Marcolin (North Okanagan), and Bob Hrasko (Black Mountain Irrigation District) have stated their intention for re-election. One Director position representing an At-Large position is also up for election this year.
WSABC Directors represent the greater interests of the water supply industry in the BC Southern Interior. Meetings are bi-monthly and the Directors must be a representative from a Utility Member of the WSABC. Directors meet via teleconference or live bi-monthly so the time commitment is manageable. We encourage all utilities to consider having a staff run for a Director position.
Trade Show and Banquet
We have received positive feedback to hold a live trade show with 15 vendor booths. A banquet will follow the trade show on the evening of October 28. The WSABC will recognize some outstanding members and/or utilities of our association with an award.
