VICTORIA—Internet users now have access to free online courses to help them better understand climate change under a program being launched by the B.C. government.
Environment Minister Terry Lake says the series of animated courses are being offered by the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions.
He says with the government committed to the goal of being carbon neutral, it’s important for everyone to understand the implications.
Lake says the courses explain how climate is changing, mankind’s role in that change, how the government is trying to reduce B.C.’s carbon footprint and what it means to the province’s economy and its future.
He says while the courses, which he calls a North American first, are aimed at bureaucrats, they are available to anyone with an Internet connection both inside B.C. and elsewhere.
