WSABC urges release of draft legislation before enactment

The Water Supply Association of BC has submitted comment to the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations on the proposed Natural Resource Road Act. The Province released a Discussion Paper on the proposed Act in November of this year and has requested feedback on the issue by December 15, 2011. The NRRA has a tremendous potential to affect our members sourcing water from Community Watersheds and we urge the Province to make special consideration for source water protection within the legislation. The Association is also requesting the Province release draft legislation for public review and comment prior to enactment.
