The directors have lined up a really exciting two day program. See the links below to view the entire program overview and specific details on each day.
This two day event is open to everyone.. utility managers, elected officials, administrative staff, operators, engineering firms, vendors, government and regulatory officials and anyone else who is in the water related industry. Lunch and coffee are provided on both days!
We are striving to have open discussions with key players in many of the decisions water utilities make, get updates from regulatory bodies and network with the delegates to have some great takeaways from the workshop.
Industry updates will include: IHA updates; Small Water System initiatives; Forestry Practices / Land Uses; Water flows; changes to the Water Sustainability Act; Petition from Improvement Districts to the Province for equitible access to government funded grant programs and many others updates through the Friday presentations.
DAY 1 – 3 WORKSHOP SESSIONS – Thursday, March 26th. #1 – reps from the OBWB, Interior Health & others will delve into challenges with small water systems and how to improve and assist them; #2 – Climate Change or Forest Canopy ?? land use practices in the forests; #3 – 40 yrs. of Disturbance and flows in the Mission Creek watershed. The morning will be an interactive workshop with plenty of opportunities to join in the discussions …

There is an option in the tickets on the registration page to purchase a Student Sponsorship for $50. This will really help the WSA host the group of second year students from the WET program to join us for lunch on Friday the 27th.
The recipient of the Annual Water Supply Association Scholarship in the amount $2,500 will be announced. Applications were invited from students from Okanagan College as well as Thompson Rivers University.
There will be CEU’s granted for operators who attend this event!!
